Exploring Axiom Guitar Tones With Allen Hinds (2/3): Effects, Tone Dynamics & Re-Amping

While in Los Angeles for the NAMM Show, I had the opportunity to sit down with Allen Hinds – one of my favorite guitar players and composers, to explore and discuss guitar tones with Blue Cat’s Axiom, our all-in-one guitar software with built-in amp simulation and effects.

Join us for this second episode of the series, where we dive deeper into Axiom and its powerful built-in effects!

Let’s Play With Effects!

After having explored a couple of factory presets in part 1 and found the one that works best as a starting point for Allen Hinds, it’s now time to invite more effects to the party!

In this episode we are having fun with delays provided by the built-in Late Replies plug-in, and add more color with the built-in Chorus pedal.

Allen naturally explores all kinds of tones from clean to crunch by just changing his attack and turning the volume knob on the guitar, like he would usually do with his usual amps. It is also the opportunity to discuss the advantages of re-amping with software, and have fun with a couple of jokes… Check it out!

To be continued in part 3…
