Plug’n Script provides two ways to process incoming audio, either sample by sample, with the processSample function, or block per block (groups of samples), with the processBlock function. In today’s episode, Florian Mrugalla gives you his opinion about both methods and why he prefers to use processBlock.
“I just use processBlock in general without thinking about it too much, because there are a lot of cases where it is beneficial. So much that it’s actually not really worth it to consider processSample. There are some up- and downsides to both though.”
And you, what do you think? Which one do you prefer to use? Why?
