Blue Cat’s Dynamics offers pretty advanced settings that you won’t find on most compressors. This allows you to precisely control the dynamics of any instrument. Here is an example on snare drums, revisiting how you can control ghosts notes, which have a lower level than everything else in a take.
This drums performance is quite heavy in snare ghost notes. Our goal is that the softer ones are heard in the mix as defined as the loudest ones, for that we are going to use the low level compressor in BC Dynamics.
