In this video, Russ Hughes from Pro Tools Expert shows you how to replace only the kick drum of a mixed drums track with the sound of a virtual instrument. This technique uses the MB-7 Mixer‘s plug-in ability to host third party VST instruments for a specific frequency band, as already demonstrated in this previous article.
Of course you can apply the same technique on other parts of the drum kit, using appropriate frequency bands.
