Some plug-ins introduce latency (delay) to the signal because their algorithms require it.
Due to its parallel processing structure, Blue Cat’s MB-7 Mixer 2 needs to compensate the latency on other bands when a plug-in adds latency on one band, so that the reconstruction of the signal is perfect (artefacts would appear otherwise, due to interferences around the crossover frequencies).
The plug-in also reports the total latency to the host application so that it can be further compensated by the DAW.
