Can you use the Re-Guitar plug-in on guitar takes that have already ben thru an amp or pedals? It was not originally designed for that, but here is the answer, in a video experimenting with several takes and potential issues!
Normally Re-Guitar is inserted in the first slot before any pedal, amp or effect plugin, we want to check if it also works if inserted after. For this we have chosen three audio examples, each with a heavier processing than the previous one and we are going to insert Re-Guitar at the end of the chain. If we succeed, this could be used to modify guitar tracks that have been recorded with real amps or printed with all the chain[…].
Our conclusion is that this is a very well designed plugin that when used with discretion can be useful.
